This might be my favorite technique.
Imagine you’re talking with someone and completely forget:
потому что
pa-ta-MÚ shto
because
Eventually they help you.
“Oh! Потому что!”
Don’t just say:
“Right! I knew that.”
Use it.
Immediately.
Я учу русский, потому что мне нравится язык.
ya oo-CHÚ RÚS-kee, pa-ta-MÚ shto mnye NRÁ-veet-sa ya-ZYK
I’m learning Russian because I like the language.
You just turned an embarrassing moment into a memory exercise.
And there’s a pretty good chance потому что will be easier to retrieve next time.
